Ross Day - Tribute to James Washington

In a beautiful article about Northwest woodworker Ross Day there is a meaningful tribute to James W. Washington, Jr.  Ross Day is an accomplished craftsman who designs and builds furniture on commission for home owners with refined taste.

During his early years growing up, Day worked at "dead-end jobs, paycheck jobs."  While reading the Seattle Times one Sunday morning in the 1970s, he came upon a profile of James Washington.  The sculptures featured caught his eye.  Reading further he was struck by Washington's deep and probing statements about talent and potential.
